Bonjour, mes amis—and au revoir to the latest edition of Paris Fashion Week, which capped off its fall 2025 presentations today. It’s always a bit of a toss up as to which famous fellas will attend the womenswear shows, especially with this round coming hot on the heels of an especially fashion-filled awards season, which just concluded with the Academy Awards.
This week has been a wonky one for the fashion industry at large: Several major-label players in Paris, including Loewe and Chanel, are either between or about to bid adieu their lead designers. “Fashion has become this giant rumor mill, which is fun too,” Balenciaga creative director Demna recently told my colleague Samuel Hine. “Sometimes I read more about rumors and who is going where than, what do we really want from fashion now?” Meanwhile, the dark prince of weird clothes himself presented a collection of eerie normcore.
But there were clear triumphs, too, namely Haider Ackermann’s seductive debut show for Tom Ford, which was preceded by a two-part sneak peek courtesy of the designer’s pal Timothée Chalamet, who wore new Tom Ford to both the Golden Globes and the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.
And speaking of celebrities, there were plenty on hand in the French capital this week: A-listers like Adrien Brody and A$AP Rocky; buzzy newcomers like Mark Eydelshteyn and Kit Connor; style legends like André 3000 and Tom Ford; and hell, even internet-rap royalty like Bladee and Nettspend, the latter of whom made his runway debut for Miu Miu. And many of them, perhaps burnt out from the aforementioned festivities, kept their fashion-week attire easygoing and casual. (Some still got a little wacky, though—we’re looking at you, Bladee.)
