Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho hosts 2025 Spring Fashion Show | News

CHICO, Calif. – Models walked the runway Saturday in a special  fashion show hosted by the Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho.

Among the models participating in the fashion show held at the Canyon Oaks Country Club was Action News anchor Kelli Saam. Lunch was served to those in attendance and a silent auction was held.

Eight local businesswomen were invited by Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho to model the latest in local spring fashion for 2025.

The clothing for the event was provided by Cotton Party and Fifth Street Clothing Company, and the around 150 guests at the fashion show were able to get a good look at each of the outfits as the models worked their way past the tables.

The money gathered from today’s event will benefit local programs that will give both girls and women access to education and training to achieve economic empowerment.

“Soroptimist means best for women,” said Sally Mendez with the Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho. “We all know women have a different set of challenges and life issues, so we believe in supporting that.”

Action News Now anchor Linda Watkins-Bennett also attended the event.

The next big event for the Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho will be taking place on April 27, 2025 at Bidwell Park. That event will be a special 5k run and walk to prevent human trafficking.
