For anyone watching Bravo in the late 2000s and early 2010s, Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman were something of a reality TV-fashion power couple.
Zoe, who grew up in New Jersey, came to prominence as a celebrity stylist.
Her life, business and A-list clients were chronicled in the cable network’s “The Rachel Zoe Project.”
She worked with fellow Millburn talent Anne Hathaway (until parting ways post-Oscar win) as well as actors Liv Tyler, Cameron Diaz, Eva Mendes, Demi Moore and Jennifer Lawrence.
Zoe later became a fashion designer with her Rachel Zoe Collection.
And Berman, her husband, was always along for the ride.
Now, Zoe and Berman have split.
“After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage,” Zoe, 53, said in a statement on Instagram. “We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together. Our number one priority has been and will always be our children. We are committed to co-parent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share. We ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this new chapter.”
Zoe, born Rachel Zoe Rosenzweig in New York, grew up in Millburn and is an alum of Millburn High School.
She met Berman in 1991 when they were students at George Washington University. They got married in 1998.
They have two sons: Skyler, 13, and Kaitus, 10.
As Zoe mentioned, Berman has been her partner in life as well as business. He is co-CEO of Rachel Zoe, Inc. and appeared regularly in the Bravo series.
“The Rachel Zoe Project” debuted in 2008 on Bravo and ran five seasons until 2013.
In 2009, Zoe launched her fashion newsletter The Zoe Report, which became a fashion media outlet. In 2015, she hosted the Lifetime fashion talk show “Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe.” The show, which ran for one season, also featured Berman.
Today Zoe hosts the “Climbing in Heels” podcast.
