The first six months of the program will focus on technical and creative development, with hands-on sessions led by industry experts. Training will include design techniques, fashion production, and craft preservation, alongside a strong emphasis on sustainability, teaching artisans how to repurpose materials and minimize waste. By the end of this phase, participants will apply their knowledge to create a fashion collection. The latter part of the program will shift toward business and leadership training, as well as women’s rights education. In addition to gaining valuable tools for financial independence and business development, participants will receive education on gender-based violence prevention, reproductive health, and how to access counseling and support services.
This April, Prada Group and UNFPA are building upon the impressive foundation they have already established—empowering women not just through creativity and craftsmanship, but through education, leadership, and independence.
