Thankfully, Pinterest has dropped its Fall 2024 Trend Report just in time for us to start prepping for the upcoming season. The report is ripe with inspiration across all categories, from fashion to beauty and kitchen must-haves, and features things like Japanese-inspired art, animal print jeans and so many more items that users can’t stop searching for.

Nature-inspired patterns are taking center stage this fall, with people looking for everything from animal-inspired clothing to plant prints. Searches for the term “camouflage outfit” have spiked by 2295% over the last year. This chic jacket is an easy way to get in on the trend. Pair it with your favorite jeans or go all out and get a pair of pants to match.
Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. Pull-On Skinny Jeans
You’ll look fierce in these jeans from Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. They’re totally on-trend, as searches for “leopard print jeans” have grown by 2990%, Pinterest reveals.
Editorial operations manager Jill Ortiz raved about the affordable style. “I thought these pull-on jeans would look and feel like jeggings, but they actually look and feel like real jeans — and they’re still comfortable! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of stretch they provided without feeling too loose. Aside from the fit, I actually like that they’re skinny jeans — even if TikTok says they’re out — because they’re so easy to dress up or down for work and weekend wear!”

Searches for outfits with both “balloon” and “puff” skirts are spiking, according to Pinterest, proving that the bubble-cut skirt is one of the trendiest styles of the moment. This specific style is so popular, sizes and colors are already selling out, so you’ll want to add it to your cart while you still can.

You can also try this dress, which features a puffed, bubble hem. It comes in multiple color options, including a fall-inspired yellow hue, pink and classic black.

It’s time to start experimenting with layering again, because fun layers are back. Searches for “skirt over jeans outfit” spiked by 695%, while queries for “dress over skirt” increased by 295%. No matter how you’re layering, whether you’re going for a classic look or getting more experimental with it, this dress is a stylish and versatile option. Pair it with a jacket and tights or try something different and wear it over a tee or pants.
Zesica Long Sleeve Striped Sweater
Sweaters are an essential layering piece and this one brings the ultimate cozy and laidback vibes. Pair it with jeans on chillier fall days or get in on the jorts trend (yes, those are back) and style it with cutoffs. (Searches for “sweater with jorts” have increased 105%, according to Pinterest.)

Searches for long layered skirts are also on the rise, and this one was one of my most-worn pieces on a recent 11-day vacation. I was packing minimally, so I focused on pieces that can be worn in plenty of different ways and this skirt checked that box. It’s super easy to style, so you can dress it up or down for almost any occasion. It’s also comfortable and airy, so it works well for those hot days at the beginning of the season.
Dewy fresh makeup
BareMinerals Mineralist Lip Gloss-Balm
While the Pinterest report revealed that some people are going big with bold nail designs, “foxy” red hair color and bangs, in the makeup space, it’s all about a glowing, dewy look.
Searches for “glossy lips makeup” have risen by 175% and this gloss-balm combo is the perfect way to get the look. “I love the shiny-meets-shimmery wash it gives to my lips,” shares partnerships editorial assistant Erica Marrison. “And better yet, I’m obsessed with the doe-foot applicator. It’s pointy and angled, making it easy to get a precise application.”
Tarte Double Take Eyeliner
Also trending? The “soft cat eye.” This eyeliner has two sides: A clay-infused gel pencil and a liquid tip, so you can customize your liner to make it as sharp or soft as you want. “The eyeliner does not budge!” shares associate editor Shannon Garlin. “I’ll wear it all day at work and it looks just as solid when I applied it in the AM. The liquid liner tip is also easy to control, so you won’t accidentally give yourself a huge wing (if that’s not something you want!). And as easy as it is to apply, it’s just as easy to take off with a cleansing balm.”

In the mood to get crafty? You’ll love this trend. Pinterest data shows that DIY projects are becoming more popular — including bag making! Searches for certain types of crochet bags are up 975% and “bag charms DIY” have spiked 130%.

Crocheted Wrist Purse
Japanese knot bags have been going viral on TikTok — and Pinterest has seen a spike in search interest around the topic. This small bag is designed to be slipped around your wrist to hold your essentials.
Babeyond Women’s Beaded Clutch
Searches for “hand beaded bag” have risen by 330%, but if you don’t feel like making one yourself, you can grab this beaded clutch on Amazon. It’s perfect for toting along to dinners or weddings and is designed to hold things like your keys, makeup and even an iPhone, the brand says.
Cozy corners
Plants for Pets Live Snake Plant
In the fall, it’s all about the cozy vibes. And this year, people are particularly interested in creating cozy corners, perfect for lounging and reading. Along with searching for “dreamy artwork” and “floral room aesthetic” for their corners, people are also looking for “air purifying plants” (queries are up 850%). The snake plant (otherwise known as mother-in-law’s tongue) can help filter air and convert CO2 to oxygen, TODAY.com previously reported.
Terrain Oaxacan Floral Taper Candle
Searches for flower bouquets and candle flowers are also spiking. This beautiful candle is said to be inspired by Mexican culture and handcrafted by artisans who have learned the skill from the generations before them. While it’s traditionally used for celebrations, you can burn it at home or simply use it as a decor piece.

Say goodbye to harsh overhead lighting! We’re all about cozy lighting right now (searches for the term have spiked by 200%). And this small, portable lamp is the perfect way to make any corner of your room feel more cozy. It has three levels of brightness, so you can adjust it for reading, watching TV or lounging.
