Ooh, this is the speak-easy,” Jeff Goldblum said as he descended the blood-red stairs leading into the heart of Tramp, the historic member’s club tucked away under the streets of Mayfair, on Sunday night. There was an air of the otherworldly about the place. Dark and ornate, it might’ve doubled for the Royal Palace of Oz — albeit more ruby than emerald. “I call it the dungeon,” he continued.

He was one of many actors, auteurs and awards season mainstays who assembled for British Vogue and GQ‘s flagship Fashion & Film party, in partnership with Tiffany & Co. Our hosts with the most: GQ‘s Adam Baidawi, Vogue‘s Chioma Nnadi, and a megawatt quartet of this awards season’s biggest names — The Brutalist‘s Adrien Brody, Anora‘s Mikey Madison, Wicked‘s Cynthia Erivo, and Babygirl‘s Harris Dickinson. It was a night of celebration for all, not least Madison and Brody, who won BAFTAs in their respective acting categories a few hours prior.

Starting at a steady simmer, the night really livened up with the arrival of the ever-magnetic Colman Domingo, who – with arguably the biggest fit of the night, not that you’d expect any less – drew the awe of those queueing at the bar for Don Julio cocktails. (They were themed to the various movies celebrated during this awards season; we were especially partial to The Brutalist.) And he soon had everyone going big on the dancefloor as if some of his absurd charisma had filtered out into the air.

Further excitement rippled through the room when Hugh Grant stepped inside, though he kept it comparably low-key, and a rare appearance from Jared Leto drew a lot of excited whispers. Goldblum spent much of his time catching up with friends in the quieter drawing room, away from the packed club-night atmosphere. Here, we spotted actor James McAvoy chatting with Baidawi in the corner, and asked for his thoughts on the BAFTA ceremony, where he presented Industry actor David Jonsson with the EE Rising Star award.

“Weirdly, the two people I was most excited to meet were Celia Imrie and Pamela Anderson,” he said, tipping a hat to the latter’s Golden Globe-nominated performance in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl. “Listen, I’ve never met her before. She was super pleasant, really down to earth, very cool.”

The upstairs smoking room was constantly buzzing, darts not necessarily required. Through the smoky haze, we spotted some excellent reunions: The White Lotus season two co-stars Will Sharpe and Meghann Fahy were locked in conversation, while Heartstopper‘s Joe Locke and Will Gao stepped outside for an obligatory mid-party breather. Dickinson held court with his girlfriend Rose Gray, while Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy‘s Leo Woodall chatted with Will Poulter and Bridgerton‘s Luke Newton. As she left the smoking area, we bumped into Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams. “Write that I was the life and soul of the party,” she joked.

In the club room downstairs, Brody, Erivo and Madison took in the vibes and a couple of drinks. (It must be noted, we did not see any BAFTAs on the dancefloor.) Among those spotted, at various points, really getting down: Domingo, Doctor Who‘s Ncuti Gatwa, and we’re reliably informed that, by the end of the night, McAvoy had made the dancefloor his own. We’ll raise a Brutalist to that.
