Welcome to the Week in Fashion, Bazaar’s at-a-glance guide to what the industry is talking about.

Gigi Hadid Is a Burnished Biker Girl in New Heaven x Dilara Fındıkoğlu Campaign

Gigi Hadid remains one of the highest-paid models in the industry, having starred in campaigns for labels like Stuart Weitzman, Fendi, and Michael Kors, while also acting as a brand ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger. Now, Hadid is adding another high-profile shoot to her résumé, with a new campaign for Heaven by Marc Jacobs and Dilara Fındıkoğlu.

In the photos, Hadid looks like a glossy biker girl as she poses in shiny hot pants, leather jackets, and bikini tops held together with safety pins. The collection feels like a mix of grunge and babydoll dressing, with other outfits featuring feminine minidresses, stockings with garters, and pink and red streamers.

Cardi B, Irina Shayk, and More Model the Marc Jacobs Fall ’24 Collection

Marc Jacobs has always known the power of a celebrity friendship. During his years as a top designer, he’s been able to count Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lady Gaga, and more as some of his famous devotees. Now, he’s just recruited a few more prominent faces to model his Fall ’24 collection.

At the forefront was Cardi B, who’s had quite the eventful week—announcing her divorce from partner Offset, as well as her pregnancy with her third child—on the same day that the campaign went live.

Other stars rounding out the shoot included Irina Shayk, Kai Cenat, Lil Uzi Vert, Clairo, Alex Consani, and Gabbriette. The photos and footage were captured by Harmony Korine, while the looks were styled by Alastair Mckimm. You can shop the entire collection at the official Marc Jacobs site now.

Rihanna Releases Soft N’ Savage Lingerie Line Inspired by Her Life as a Mom

While Rihanna may be keeping fans in limbo with regards to new music, she continues to expand upon her extremely successful fashion and beauty empires in the meantime.

The former got a new update earlier this week, when the “Diamonds” singer revealed a brand-new lingerie collection, titled Soft N’ Savage. This rebrand, which is part of RiRi’s Savage x Fenty brand, was teased on Instagram in a video where the founder used words like “freedom” and “ease” to describe it.

Harper’s Bazaar sat down with designer Adam Selman and Savage × Fenty CEO Hillary Super to discuss the line. “When Rihanna first started the brand, she wasn’t a mother! Now she’s a mother of two … and she’s obviously a global superstar,” Super said. “She has since founded a portfolio of brands, and she’s doing all things, everywhere, all the time. And I think that really requires a different way of living.” That different way of living inspired these new pieces, which you can shop here.

Back in May 2022, the Prada Group launched “Fashion Expressions: The Stories She Wears,” a training program that aims to give female artisans a collection of resources to help them achieve their dreams, all while promoting women’s empowerment and sexual reproductive health.

Last year, the program was expanded to the Querétaro state in Mexico, where 30 embroiderers and weavers between the ages of 18 and 50 were given educational resources and opportunities to collaborate with professionals in the fashion industry. As the program—which was founded in collaboration with the local non-profit organization Nest—wrapped this summer, Prada and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) held an event to celebrate its closing.

The soiree was held in Mexico City on Wednesday, with an itinerary including a panel discussion, an exhibition showcase, and a cocktail reception. Previous iterations of “The Stories She Wears” were held in Kenya and Ghana, and only time will tell if the program will continue to spread to other nations around the world.
