PHOENIX — There’s a new place to buy clothes at Scottsdale Fashion Square.

A Gap retail store recently opened at the shopping destination.

The store’s opening is unique because previously there was another Gap store in the mall, but it closed. The newly reopened store is in the same location as its previous iteration on the south wing of the second floor.

David Hyatt, the general manager for Macerich, the company behind Scottsdale Fashion Square, expressed excitement over the news.

“With this reopening, we’re maintaining that commitment by giving shoppers access to the only retail Gap store in the Phoenix metro,” Hyatt said in a Thursday news release.

The new store joins four Gap Factory locations that are currently open in metro Phoenix.

Gap is a global apparel and accessories brand known for its classic clothing staples, such as jean jackets, white shirts and denim jeans. It offers men and women’s clothing, along with activewear and maternity wear. The brand also has clothes for children.

Shoppers can also buy clothes online and pick them up in store. The brand also promises hassle-free returns for purchases made online or in the store.

Hyatt said he looks forward to giving Valley shoppers one more place to buy trendy clothes.

“We’re proud to offer shoppers an exclusive experience when they visit Scottsdale Fashion Square, whether they’re in the market for luxury products or updating their wardrobe staples with a classic trusted brand like Gap,” Hyatt said.
