As a fashion editor I’m constantly getting emails about new fashion brands, some of which offer to send clothing samples so I can get a firsthand experience. In 2023, one such brand was Showpo. I was impressed with the vast range of styles they had onsite, as well as the fact that most of the Showpo brand items come in extended sizes, so I figured why not try it out? Cut to now and they’ve become a favorite for shopping cute everyday items that feel both simple and a little unexpected.
Showpo first launched in Australia in 2010, but didn’t become available in the U.S. until 2023. And while it carries other brands, like Lioness, SNDYS and 4th + Reckless (which you may recognize from Revolve or Shopbop), my favorite pieces are definitely Showpo’s in-house line, specifically the dresses. Seriously, I think I wear this linen maxi ($70) at least once a week in the summer, but there are also a ton of incredibly fun wedding guest dresses and frocks for bachelorette parties or fun nights out. And not only do almost all of these pieces come in extended sizing (US 0 to 16), there are also photos of the pieces on women of various sizes. So for someone like me, who wears a size 10 or 12 at Showpo, I can get a better sense of how that adorable vest-and-skirt set I’ve been eyeing will look on someone closer to my size.
