WÀNGDA NYFW A/W 2025 at NeueHouse

This season, the runway shows did two things; showcase the best of big brands, who have made their way to the spotlight for setting trends, and for supporting up and coming designers who are bringing a fresh look to the catwalk.
Some of the official CFDA calendar shows included New York designers like Dennis Basso, Fredrick Anderson, Thom Browne, Michael Kors Collection, Tory Burch and Carolina Herrera.
There was also stunnign runway shows from Pamella Rolland, Sandy Liang, Ulla Johnson, Anna Sui, Prabal Gurung, Simkhai, and Christian Siriano. Khaite dazzled with their sleek, dapper designs, as one of the most sought-after brands today. Besides that, here are some highlights from both the on-calendar and off-calendar program.

At Neue House, Sergio Hudson featured with a retro-inspired collection for fall and winter 2025, featuring everything from mohair to leather in dark fall hues, including green, blues and maroons. VIPs in attendance included Keke Palmer, Miss Velvet, Tamron Hall and Davon Godchaux, among others.
Artem Fragrances had an activation booth backstage, including their famed scent Southern Ballad, which aims to capture “the nostalgic essence of 1990s Atlanta.”
Neue House also featured a presentation from Chinese designer Wanga, who showed a stunning new collection that featured edgy coats, suits and sets in earthtones, with one chocolate brown suit that called to mind a retro throwback to 1970s Texas chic.

Albanian model Elton Ilirjani took the runway at Global Fashion Collective, which highlights designers from abroad. He walked for two shows, for Japanese designer and multimedia artist Naoko Tosa, who created a tech-savvy collection built for the dystopian future, with jackets embedded with LED lights, for avalanche victims and fire-resistant fabrics. He also walked for South Korean brand Tripleroot, which brings a chic, minimal style for modern women.
Edgy designer Elena Velez, who speaks to the Gen Z crowd, had a runway show for her new collection, titled “Leech.” The collection was set amid a backdrop that looked like a shipwrteck and had goth Titanic vibes, with a thick dose of It Girl attitude, thanks to the model selection which included no other than Anna Delvey and Leah McSweeney.

The 9th Annual Blue Jacket Runway Show, which is organzied by the Zero Cancer nonprofit, benefits the Prostate Cancer Foundation, which funds research to find a cure. The runway show was hosted by fashion designer Fredrick Anderson, with runway appearances from stars like Don Lemon, Bill Nye and more.
Other highlights included the launch of the Grace Ling flagship store, Madewell’s Spring 2025 campaign launch party, as well as Sloan’s fall collection presentation at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Christian Siriano’s runway show at Chelsea Industrial and Jonathan Cohen’s presentation, which featured bright colors.
The House of Arches official after party featured up and coming designers like Muehleder, Nia Thomas, Freddie Estelle, Victim15 and Hearthrob, all of whom are worth checking out.
In Brooklyn, Japanese platform Atoire, tastemakers known for their minimalist style, celebrate brands known for the luxury craftsmanship. released their latest collection.

Meanwhile, Lithuanian designer Aistė Hong had a stunning runway show for her namesake luxury ready-to-wear brand, which fuses together timeless, refined femininity and contemporary power dressing with an edge.
Arab New York Fashion Week was hosted by Arab Socials featuring Arabic fashion designers, artists, beauty brands and more. One major highlight was designs by brand Dalya, which brings a feminine touch to modern women’s suiting.
Meanwhile, Nigerian designer Tia Adeola celebrated her 10-year anniversary with the brand with a Nigerian wedding theme collection for Fall/Winnter 2025 runway show, using cowshed and coral beads, feathers, extravagant prints and more.

Jean Shafiroff, one of New York City’s most high-profile philanthropists hosted a fundraiser for the American Red Cross, who are helping provide aid to those who suffered from the Los Angeles fires. This star-studded event was attended by fashion designers Ron Dyce, Nabys Vielman and Victor De Souza, and a speech was given by Doreen Howe, the regional CEO of the greater New York region of the American Red Cross.
Elysian Magazine hosted their latest magazine’s philanthropy and fashion issue with a launch party at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park, which honored Hollywood icon, Loretta Swit, hosted by Karen Floyd, and featured their documentary, Catwalk Furbaby, which documents their journey to the runway to help support animal charities.

The 64th annual Quadrille Ball was hosted at the Plaza Hotel honoring the German-America Scholarship Association, while Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, a philanthropist and the co-founder and CEO of SohoMuse social networking platform, hosted an event to celebrate her Vogue Czech Republic and Slovakia edition.
Nabys Vielman showed his Fall/Winter 2025 collection, which features many elegant black looks. Designer Diana Mahrach launched her new couture collection at the 3 West Club, as well, called “Fashion, Arts, Jewelry,” to benefit the New York Women’s Foundation.

Korean designer Son Jung Wang’s latest collection features bright pink mohair pieces, while L’Agence brough their party girl vibes to Grand Central Station.
Overall, there were lots of edgy looks, designers who honored their cultural heritage and forward-thinking modern looks, including fashion that aims to withstand national disasters. Until the next New York Fashion Week in September, expect a lot of new designers to keep your eye on.
