Lanvin Will Return to Paris in 2025 for a Debut Co-Ed Collection by Peter Copping
Lanvin, the oldest continuously operating couture house, will return to the runways with a co-ed presentation in Paris. The show, which will take place in January 2025, will be the Maison’s first presentation in almost two years, as it remained without an artistic director for an extended period. Peter Copping, who was appointed as artistic director this past June, has held creative director titles at Oscar De La Renta and Nina Ricci, as well as a behind-the-scenes role at Balenciaga. The brand has said that the forthcoming presentation will be an “intimate runway presentation” at Paris Menswear Week.
BoF also points out that the January presentation could be a strategic move from the brand, as this coming menswear week is an ideal space for Lanvin to showcase its new vision without competing noise from other labels like Valentino, which has scaled back its schedule under Alessandro Michele.
PUMA and Portuguese Football Federation Announce Long-Term Partnership
PUMA has announced a long-term partnership between the heritage sports brand and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), the club which star players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe call home. Starting in 2025, PUMA will begin supporting the football club, supplying all male, female, and youth teams with new gear. PUMA has a long history of supporting Portugal’s football culture, having worked closely with the legendary Eusébio, the top scorer of the 1966 World Cup, to design the PUMA KING football boot.
On the heels of the new partnership, president of the FPF Fernando Gomes said “We were attracted to PUMA because of the way in which they engage with the fans and tell the unique story of every team they work with,” in a statement. “We look forward to creating an exciting range of products with them which will resonate with our large fan base all over the world,” he continued.
Stay tuned for PUMA’s new FPF merchandise and its creative direction for the partnership set to arrive by early 2025.
ERL’s Debut Holiday Collection is Decked With Plaid and Plush
ERL, designer Eli Russell Linnetz‘s eponymous fashion label, has unveiled its inaugural holiday collection blending the brand’s relaxed West Coast ethos with festive elements. The collection features two main color stories including a classic red Christmas plaid and a neutral-leaning brown palette.
Key pieces include the plush brown California Shearling Coat, which is joined by a hooded yellow variant, along with matching messenger bags and boots. Elsewhere, the plaid pattern is used on ERL’s signature Swirl Hoodie, along with longsleeved collared shirts in red and brown. The collection is finally rounded out with a solid range of plaid boxers and fuzzy ERL-branded terry socks.
The ERL holiday collection is available now at the official ERL web store.
Pharrell’s JOOPITER Announces J Balvin Pa La Cultura Auction
Pharrell‘s JOOPITER and J Balvin have teamed up for the “J Balvin Pa La Cultura” auction, featuring ultra-rare pieces from the Colombian singer’s personal collection. The curation comprises diamond jewelry, sneakers, luxury bags, and art from renowned names like Louis Vuitton, Jacob & Co., Nike, Takashi Murakami and Supreme.
The auction also includes six new pieces from Balvin’s design studio with Mattias Gollin, Vita Veloce Team (VVT). Each VVT piece is one-of-a-kind, with works in collaboration with artists like Bogdan Plakov, The Pink Lemonade, Gaetano di Dio, NM3, and Lucas and Arya from MSCHF.
The J Balvin Pa La Cultura auction kicks off on December 2 and continues until December 12 via JOOPITER.
The Haider Ackermann-Designed “Snow Goose by Canada Goose” Collection Has Arrived
Haider Ackermann is the creative mind behind the new Snow Goose by Canada Goose label. For the inaugural FW24 campaign, the designer took inspiration from the sheer power of nature and a spectrum of sensibilities drawing from the Canada Goose archives and his signature design ethos.
The first drop features more than 60 pieces ranging from elegant winter outerwear, exuberant matching shell sets, and quilt patterned knit sweaters. Highlights include the fully reflective Celestia Sweater and the deep green Mirage Jacket with its neon green stowaway hood. Elsewhere, the Squall Jacket & Squall Pant take cues from an archive shell set boasting prominent zippers throughout each segment, but the most notable aspect of the matching set is the eye-catching “Aquarius” blue hue. Willy Vanderperrehe shot the recently unveiled campaign starring actor and producer Ethan Hawke and model Julia Nobis among others with diverse passions across the arts, sports and design.
Snow Goose by Canada Goose’s inaugural installment is available now at the Canada Goose website and Canada Goose stores across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific. Be sure to stay tuned for the second drop on Tuesday, December 10th, and a third drop later in the month.
