Who was the best dressed at the 2025 Academy Awards? Who was the worst? The Wardrobe Consultant Hallie Abrams gives her reaction to the red carpet fashion.
CLEVELAND — Lights! Camera! Fashion!
It was Hollywood’s biggest night as the 2025 Academy Awards celebrated this year’s best achievements in movies — and the stars definitely came out with some big fashion on the Oscars red carpet.
But who was the best dressed? Who was the worst? The Wardrobe Consultant Hallie Abrams was live on the “GO!” morning show early Monday with her reaction to the fashion trends, including her thoughts on Julianne Hough, Ariana Grande, Halle Berry, Andrew Garfield, Timothée Chalamet, Demi Moore, Rachel Sennott and more.
BEST DRESSED
“I just thought she hit it,” Abrams said. “She was wearing Dior. It was tool. It was beautiful. It was ethereal. I loved her hair. They took her bob and made it a little softer. With red lips, I just thought she was stunning. I just saw her in New York at Fashion Week and she was as sweet there and beautiful in person.”

“I thought it was just perfect for her role and it was really interesting. It was beautiful to look at in photographs and I bet in person as well.”

“Classic. Her necklace was a vintage necklace that came out of Cartier. It fit her neck perfectly, which you can’t like adjust a necklace so that’s a big deal.”

“I mean how fabulous. It’s Christian Siriano. It’s maybe one of the best things I’ve ever seen him do. It had this mesh on the side, so it really hugged her curves. It was just stunning.”

“I really liked it. It’s Gucci. I thought it was slick. It’s brown and it’s all different tones of brown, so it was a little different. But it still was very on trend.”

WORST DRESSED
“It was a little divisive,” Abrams said. “Some people love it, some people hate it. He’s wearing Gucci. It’s a five-pocket jean if you look at it. It’s yellow, which is different. It also was a little long like it wasn’t tailored and then he had these big, black shoes with it. It didn’t resonate for me, but some people loved it. And that’s what fashion is. It’s very subjective.”

“I don’t know what the belt is. I didn’t understand. The top looked a little prom-y. The bottom looked wrinkly. It didn’t hit.”

“This was nice, but she wore these really heavy black boots. You were like, ‘Is she wearing orthopedic stockings, like what’s happening?’ I don’t get it.”

SEQUIN TREND
“She looked beautiful. See how it has like texture to it? It’s sequins, but they’re larger. Halle Berry’s was like that. It’s just a different twist on something.”

“She has had a glow-up.”

SO WHAT FASHION TRENDS CAN YOU EXPECT THIS YEAR?
“I think pink is going to be huge this spring,” Abrams concluded. “I think some monochromatic dressing, the same way we saw Andrew Garfield all in one color. I think those are two very doable. Then a bun. Like an up-do. It doesn’t have to be for formal occasions.”
