After an autumn break marked by a series of massive changes in the major fashion houses’ artistic direction, the calendar for the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Fashion Week is taking shape. From Milan to Paris, the programme offers a rich season of creativity and surprises, with the highly-anticipated opening shows, high-profile comebacks and unexpected absences. Here’s an overview of the event.
The Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Fashion Week: The debuts of Sarah Burton at Givenchy and Haider Ackermann at Tom Ford
While the British fashion house Burberry will show its collections on February 24th, 2025, in London, the Milan Fashion Week will take place from February 25th to March 3rd, 2025, with a whole host of shows to look forward to – starting with the return of Fendi, Gucci and Dsquared2, who were not on the men’s catwalks but will present a unisex show for this Fall/Winter 2025-2026 season.
From March 3rd to 11th, 2025, the Paris Women’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Fashion Week will round off this fashion marathon with a bang. For its final stretch, the shows will be full of surprises and highlights.
Just a few months after presenting its Winter/Spring 2025 collection in New York, Alaïa will offer a Parisian show that will be closely watched on March 4th, 2025. After winning the LVMH Prize in September 2024, Swedish designer Ellen Hodakova Larsson will present her new show on March 6th.
Belgian fashion house Dries Van Noten is preparing to open a new chapter in its history with Julian Klausner, its newly appointed artistic director. The show will be held on March 5th, 2025, and will mark the beginning of the post-Dries era, with the promise of redefining the house’s singular heritage in a renewed vision.
Appointed artistic director at Tom Ford in September 2024, Haider Ackermann has been recently acclaimed for his collaboration with Canada Goose and his Snow Goose line. The designer is aiming to reinvent the house’s wardrobe, previously led by Peter Hawkings, with elegance and audacity for his Parisian show on March 5th, 2025.
Another highlight of the week in Paris: Sarah Burton, former artistic director of Alexander McQueen, will present her first collection for Givenchy on March 7th, 2025. It’s an eagerly-awaited handover that is already generating obvious enthusiasm within the industry…
For the very first time, Loewe will opt for a presentation rather than a runway show to unveil its Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection on March 10th. At 8pm on the same day, Nicolas Ghesquière will unveil the new Louis Vuitton collection. The following day, on March 11th, Chanel will open the day with its 10am show, while Saint Laurent will close the Paris Fashion Week with its 8pm show.

The Men’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Fashion Week in Milan: a mix of surprises and absences
While Pitti Uomo took place in Florence from January 14th to 17th, 2025, Milan took over with the Men’s Fashion Week from January 17th to 20th. The event was marked by the presentation of the MM6 Maison Margiela show on January 15th, as well as the latest collection by Japanese designer Satoshi Kuwata, winner of the LVMH prize in 2023.
In Milan, Philipp Plein set the tone with a flamboyant show, true to its spectacular DNA. Yet, Milan was also conspicuous by notable absences this season, including JW Anderson, Fendi and Moschino.
Another notable change was that Gucci and Dsquared2 skipped the men’s runways to unveil unisex collections in joint shows during the Women’s Fashion Week in February.
Fortunately, some of the major fashion houses didn’t miss the annual event. The eagerly-awaited Prada Fall/Winter 2025-2026 show was held on January 19th, 2025, and Zegna, a key figure in Italian menswear, had the honour of closing the week with a memorable show on January 20th.

Paris, the capital of menswear
From January 21st to 26th, 2025, Paris confirmed its status as the world’s capital of fashion with a Menswear Fashion Week that was all about newness and debuts.
It is impossible to talk about that week without mentioning Pharrell Williams’ show for Louis Vuitton. A year after revamping the Western dandy style, the Parisian catwalks’ favourite kicked off the festivities with his fourth show for the French fashion house on January 21st. A few hours later, Parisian designer Coucou Bébé 75018, endorsed by A$AP Rocky and known for his provocative approach to fashion, presented his debut show.
While Loewe was absent this season – rumour has it that Jonathan Anderson has left the house’s studio – the striking comebacks of Paul Smith and French label Egonlab, founded by Florentin Glémarec and Kevin Nompeix, punctuated the day on January 22nd.
This Fall/Winter 2025-2026 edition was above all marked by some landmark debut shows. Peter Copping, former creative director at Nina Ricci from 2009 to 2014, who also worked at Balenciaga and was appointed artistic director of Lanvin last June 2024, unveiled his first collection for the historic French fashion house on January 26th.
On January 22nd, Emeric Tchatchoua, founder of streetwear label 3.Paradis (finally) joined the official runway calendar. American designer Willy Chavarria, who recently won the Menswear Designer of the Year award at the CFDA for the second consecutive year, walked the catwalk for the first time in Paris on January 24th, 2025.
After captivating Capri last June, Simon Porte Jacquemus made a guest appearance at the Men’s Fashion Week on January 26th, 2025. True to his sense of showmanship skills, the French designer ended the week with a show in front of a host of stars. Finally, Patou and its creative director Guillaume Henry took to the catwalk to kick off the Haute Couture Fashion Week on the same day.

Germanier, special guest of the Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture Week
The following day, the Haute Couture Fashion Week shone once again on the French capital with the timeless know-how of the major fashion houses and the audacity of new talents.
The festivities kicked off on January 27th with Schiaparelli’s opening show at 10am. A few hours later, Dior unveiled its new collection at 2.30pm.
One of the most eagerly-awaited moments of this exceptional week was Alessandro Michele’s presentation of the first couture collection by the Italian house of Valentino on January 29th.
But this year’s surprise came from Swiss designer Kevin Germanier, who presented a collection in partnership with LVMH a few months ago. After taking the world by storm at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games, Germanier once again left his mark, taking his first steps into the world of haute couture as a guest designer.
